The 15-B included what Chambers called the “Silverlite backsplash” and it’s what most people think of when they think of a model B. The timer in the center of two shelves and the lights on either side do give it a timeless look.

Not that, also contrary to what you may read elsewhere, the serial number on a model B does NOT tell you what year it was made unless it was 1947 or 1948. All other years of production share the same identifier. That’s why my model Bs give a date range, not a precise year – unless it’s from one of those two years.

Overall this stove could be mostly served well with The Basics. The top has some scuffing to the chrome, but it can be reused as-is. The timer housing and lights should be replated, though. The porcelain only has some minor chips. And while the front panel for the cover was missing when the stove came in, a replacement has been sourced.
