The 15-B included what Chambers called the “Silverlite backsplash” and it’s what most people think of when they think of a model B. The timer in the center of two shelves and the lights on either side do give it a timeless look.
Not that, also contrary to what you may read elsewhere, the serial number on a model B does NOT tell you what year it was made unless it was 1947 or 1948. All other years of production share the same identifier. That’s why my model Bs give a date range, not a precise year unless they are from those 2 years.
This stove is what you should choose if you want to go to a Curb Appeal level. The chrome must all be redone. Multiple panels have large chips. If this were going to be my stove, I would address these issues during restoration – your kitchen and the stove will be better for it.
