The 15-B included what Chambers called the “Silverlite backsplash” and it’s what most people think of when they think of a model B. The timer in the center of two shelves and the lights on either side do give it a timeless look.
Not that, also contrary to what you may read elsewhere, the serial number on a model B does NOT tell you what year it was made unless it was 1947 or 1948. All other years of production share the same identifier. That’s why my model Bs give a date range, not a precise year, unless they are from 1947 or 8.
While this stove has some small chips, overall, it is a great candidate for The Basics. So if you’re looking for a stove that doesn’t need a lot cosmetically, this is a great choice.
