The 15-B included what Chambers called the “Silverlite backsplash” and it’s what most people think of when they think of a model B. The timer in the center of two shelves and the lights on either side do give it a timeless look.

Not that, also contrary to what you may read elsewhere, the serial number on a model B does NOT tell you what year it was made unless it was 1947 or 1948. All other years of production share the same identifier. That’s why my model Bs give a date range, not a precise year.

This stove has a large chip on the pantry door and the timer housing and lights must be replated. The top is in nice shape and could be used as-is without replating. As always, the choice is yours.
